Workshop A

Adult Programs, Art-Making Workshops

In this workshop, exhibiting artist Stephanie J. Williams will lead participants through the process of creating simple, posable puppets for use in a collaborative animated short film. The workshop is inspired by her stop motion film PINOY/PLOY (2016) currently on view in Fictions. PINOY/PLOY explores stereotypes found in American food culture, specifically the appropriation of the foods consumed in marginalized communities.

Studio Squared
is the Museum's series of informal art-making workshops aimed at making a wide range of studio practices accessible to adult audiences. Each workshop focuses on a particular theme and creative process inspired by our exhibitions and explores methods of creative production through an experiential approach.
