Group Tours
The Museum provides learning opportunities for visitors of all ages. Experienced educators work with both children and adults at all developmental and cognitive levels.
Guided tours are available for all exhibitions to ensure that individuals with a range of abilities can experience the Museum. Tours tailored to visitors with physical or developmental challenges can also be arranged. Accommodations can be made for visitors in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
When scheduling a school visit to the Studio Museum, educators are asked to notify the Education Department about the learning or physical needs of their students.

Accessibility

The Studio Museum in Harlem is committed to making its exhibitions, programs, and services accessible to all who visit. The Museum’s lobby, main gallery, gift shop, restrooms, atrium, and sculpture court are wheelchair accessible, and the theatre, additional galleries and education and project spaces can be reached with the use of an elevator. Guided tours are available for all exhibitions to ensure that individuals with a range of abilities can experience the Museum. Tours tailored to visitors with physical or developmental challenges can also be arranged. For public programs, accommodation can be made for visitors in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
Uniformed security guards, stationed at the entrance and throughout the Museum can help direct visitors to appropriate facilities and resources, as well as assist with First Aid. Appropriately documented service animals are welcome at the Museum. The Museum’s website is accessible—and usable—for all Internet users and for the full range of browsing platforms and devices such as screen readers, PDAs, and mobile phones.
