School programs reflect the Museum’s deep commitment to schools and youth-focused organizations in Harlem and across New York City. The Studio Museum builds tailored partnerships with schools and community organizations through open dialogue with practicing artists, inquiry-based discussions around works of art in the permanent collection, and hands-on art-making projects. School Programs are designed to complement curricula, educate students about artists of African descent, and challenge them to think critically and creatively about their communities.
The Studio Museum in Harlem creates in-depth, multi-session partnerships in collaboration with Pre-K-12 schools, and community organizations throughout Harlem and New York City.
